Business Development Account Manager, Air Force

Red Cedar TG is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and self-starting Business Development Account Manager to join our team.
Compensation for this position ranges from $180,000 - $250,000 and is based on geographical location, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for a generous commission package.
Responsibilities
| As the Business Development Account Manager for the Federal market, the successful candidate will contribute to the strategic planning and growth of Red Cedar TG, an SBA-certified, tribally owned 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business, and its affiliates. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the position will develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies for Red Cedar TG’s Information Technology services across selected U.S. Federal Government accounts within the Washington, DC and National Capital Region market. Assigned accounts may include Federal Civilian, Department of Defense, national security, health, homeland security, financial-regulatory, and other mission organizations based on corporate priorities, customer access, market potential, and alignment with company capabilities. The Business Development Account Manager will own and maintain multi-year account and growth plans, develop a qualified opportunity pipeline, identify and engage government and industry stakeholders, and position Red Cedar TG ahead of customer demand. The position will develop a thorough understanding of assigned agencies’ missions, organizational structures, modernization priorities, budgets, acquisition forecasts, procurement patterns, contract vehicles, incumbent landscapes, and buying behaviors. The position will translate this knowledge into actionable account, business development, customer-engagement, and capture strategies. The position will identify, qualify, shape, and advance new business opportunities through disciplined Bid/No Bid and gate reviews. Capture responsibilities include customer engagement, call planning, opportunity strategy, competitive and incumbent analysis, Black Hat assessments, solution framing with technical and delivery leaders, price-to-win support, win strategy development, teaming strategy, and capture resource planning. The position will distinguish among business development, capture, and proposal responsibilities while maintaining continuity throughout the opportunity lifecycle. The Business Development Account Manager will lead early market-shaping activities, including capability briefings, white papers, Requests for Information, Sources Sought responses, industry-day participation, customer meetings, and partner engagement. The position will identify new and adjacent markets, unmet customer needs, emerging mission requirements, and opportunities to introduce Red Cedar TG’s capabilities in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data management and analytics, systems integration, software engineering, application modernization, and IT operations and maintenance. The position will build and maintain relationships with federal systems integrators, large prime contractors, small businesses, technology providers, and other strategic partners. Responsibilities include identifying value-adding teammates; developing joint go-to-market and customer-engagement strategies; supporting negotiation of nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, workshare arrangements, and related business terms; assessing organizational conflicts of interest; and aligning partner capabilities, contract access, past performance, and customer relationships with pursuit requirements. During proposal development, the position will transition validated capture intelligence, customer requirements, competitive assessments, win themes, solution direction, teaming inputs, and pricing considerations to the assigned proposal manager. The Business Development Account Manager will remain engaged as the account and capture lead while proposal management retains responsibility for proposal planning, compliance, development, reviews, production, and submission. The position will collaborate with executive leadership, program operations, technical delivery, solution architects, contracts, pricing, recruiting, security, marketing, capture, and proposal management to ensure that account strategies and pursuits align with corporate capabilities, contract access, resource availability, delivery readiness, and financial objectives. Post-award, the position will maintain customer and partner relationships, support account and performance reviews, monitor customer satisfaction, identify contract and adjacent-account growth opportunities, and position the company for follow-on work and recompetes. The Business Development Account Manager will represent Red Cedar TG at agency engagements, industry conferences, small business events, association meetings, and partner forums throughout the National Capital Region. The position will reinforce Red Cedar TG’s market presence, communicate its customer value proposition, and establish the company as a trusted and responsive federal mission partner. Success will be measured through qualified pipeline growth, customer and partner engagement, opportunity progression, forecast accuracy, capture milestone performance, awards, bookings, revenue growth, account expansion, partner-generated opportunities, and alignment between pursuits and Red Cedar TG’s technical capabilities, socioeconomic advantages, contract access, and delivery capacity. Performance will be evaluated based on development and maintenance of a qualified multi-agency federal pipeline; customer, partner, and stakeholder engagement; accuracy of account intelligence, opportunity qualification, and forecasts; completion of capture milestones; opportunity progression; quality of capture-to-proposal transition; awards; bookings; revenue growth; partner-generated opportunities; expansion of existing accounts; and alignment of pursuits with company capabilities, socioeconomic advantages, contract access, financial objectives, and delivery capacity. |
