Junior Systems Information Analyst

Red Cedar TG is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and self-starting Junior Systems Information Analyst to join our team at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Missing a certification for this position? Red Cedar TG will work with candidates that are otherwise fully qualified to help them obtain required certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, ITIL, CISSP, and other required certifications."
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 annually and is dependent on geographical location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the organization’s application systems and IT infrastructure, working as part of a collaborative team. You will support the development and enhancement of systems by applying established architectural frameworks and technical standards, helping to ensure consistency and quality across solutions.
You will partner with team members and stakeholders to gain an understanding of user needs and business processes, assisting in translating those requirements into practical, effective technical solutions. Working closely with developers and engineers, you will help support application development efforts and ensure systems are properly integrated within the broader IT environment.
As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you will stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, contributing ideas that support continuous improvement. You will also help evaluate how systems, applications, and services interact, assisting in the assessment of changes and updates to ensure minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
Additionally, you will participate in system analysis and usability testing to help improve overall performance, reliability, scalability, and security. With guidance as needed, you will complete assigned tasks while continuing to develop your technical expertise and professional judgment, growing your ability to contribute to increasingly complex initiatives over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT or related discipline
- 0-3 years of experience; may substitute work experience
- Ability to obtain a US government Secret clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work individually as well as with cross functional teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired
- Experience with Air Mobility Command (AMC), US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) or U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) business, C2, or IT systems
- Exposure to IT systems requirements, analysis, and engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks such as DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
- Exposure to Business Process Modeling Notation, flow charting, or other process mapping approaches
